Our Plants
Suez Cement Company

Established in 1977, Suez Cement Company is one of the largest grey cement producers in Egypt. The company started its activities by building its first plant in Suez followed by the Kattameya plant with total investments of about LE 1.7 billion. Both plants operate using the dry method with whitewash and primary heating.


Suez plant
Built in 1979, the Suez plant currently has two production lines that use a dry process. The cement plant and two quarries are located in an area of 3,095,000 m².




Types of Cement Produced at the Suez Plant:

- CEM I 42,5 N (According to Norms EN 197.1 and ES 4756-1/2009)
- CEM I 42,5 R (According to Norms EN 197.1 and ES 4756-1/2009)
- C 150 - TYPE I, II (According to ASTM)

Kattameya Plant
The plant was established in 1981. It is located in an area of 4,200,000 m². 

Types of Cement Produced at the Kattameya Plant:
- CEM I 42.5 N (According to Norms EN 197-1 and ES 4756 -1/2009)
- SRC 42.5 N (According to Norms ES 583/2005 and BS 4027/1996)
