FEI awards Suez Cement as one of the best 10 Egyptian Companies in CSR excellence
15 of December 2014. As recognition of its strong commitment to sustainable development, SCGC was awarded on December 15th by the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) as one of the best ten Egyptian Companies in CSR. The Association of Industries was first established in 1922 by visionary entrepreneurs from the Egyptian business community. The persistence and track record of success that followed have shaped what is known today as FEI.
Within the Federation of Egyptian Industries, the Environmental Compliance Office (ECO) organized the “Pioneer Businesses to Achieve Sustainable Development” 2014 Competition involving active organizations in the fields of sustainable and social development, presenting the different services they are offering to the industrial sector in Egypt. Suez Cement proudly submitted its new waste-processing plant project in the environment secotr, in addition to its long lasting partnership with Don Bosco Institute as most successful social initiative and its Salamtak Bel Donia awareness campaign in the safety field.
Commenting on FEI award, Mr. Carre’ added “This award highlights the best in corporate social responsibility practices in Egypt and I am glad that Suez Cement’s CSR activities have been recognized as best local practices. ECO provides premium consultancy services in the field of environmental compliance and promotes CSR in the small, medium and large enterprises. ECO has always incorporated issues such as gender, child labor, OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) as an integral part of its environmental activities.
