Initiative by Helwan Cement to repair and maintain schools

In continuation of its initiatives to improving living conditions in the areas surrounding its plants, Suez Cement group of Companies have launched an initiative to repair and maintain the 8 schools that are close to the company’s premises before the beginning of the 2018-19 school year. The initiative is implemented under the supervision of Tebeen Educational Department and covers the repair and maintenance of school furniture, which serves the students and the educational process.
  
Helwan Cement Plant Manager, Eng. Ahmed Ragaie, said that the initiative comes in continuation of the company’s social responsibility in general and support on education in particular, since it has a direct effect on producing generational able to look after themselves and serve their communities.
He hopes that school management and students pay attention to school furniture as important assets that will benefit them and generations to come.

 

On his part, Dr. Sherif Rashad, Head of Tebeen Educational Department, praised the initiative launched by Helwan Cement Company, stressing that the private sector should play its role in maintaining an economic and social balance. He urged companies to follow the example set by Helwan Cement, noting that each company should adopt a social goal to achieve in contribution to the efforts to improving the educational process.
