The Company Profile: 

Established in 1977, Suez Cement Company is currently one of the largest grey cement producers in Egypt, with a production capacity of 4.1 million tons of clinker per year. The company, which is 55.08 percent owned by HeidelbergCement, started its activities with the construction of its first plant in Suez, followed by a second plant in Kattameya, with a total investment of about LE 1.7 billion. Both plants operate using the dry method, which consists of whitewash and primary heating. The company serves the domestic market and also exports its products to Arab, African and European markets.

Capital Shares:

Since the date of the company's establishment, its capital has increased several times. As per the last capital increase subscription in the year 2005, the company's issued and paid up capital amounted to 909 million EGP divided over 181 million fully paid up shares, with a par value of 5 EGP per share. The company's authorized capital amounted to 3,600 Million Egyptian pounds as at 25-03-2013.

The company's capital shares have been listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (ESE) since 8th August 1983, as per  Egyptian law no. 161 of the year 1957 and its amendments, then as per the Egyptian capital market law no. 95 of the year 1992, and its executive regulations, in accordance with the Listing Rules issued in November 2008 upon the Capital Market Authority's Board of Directors decree No. 30, dated June 18, 2002, and its last amendments. Since the end of 1996, the company's capital shares have been listed through the GDR system at London Stock Exchange.
