Suez Cement participates in InterGas presenting Explora G, the first cement in Egypt certified by the American Petroleum Institute

Cairo, 13 May 2009. Suez Cement group of Companies, composed by Suez Cement Company, Tourah Portland Cement Company and Helwan Cement Company, is  one of the exhibitors of InterGas-V Conference and Exhibition 2009, the fifth international conference on oil and gas which will provide, from 12 to 14 of May, companies with the tools to develop business in Egypt’s oil, gas and petrochemical sectors.

InterGas V is promoted under the auspices of the Minister of Petroleum, H.E. Eng. Sameh Fahmy, and it is scheduled to host the main local players in the industry, over 1,300 international delegates, 70 international and regional speakers and 12,000 participants. At this event, which is the leading Middle East and North Africa Oil and Gas event, Suez Cement presents the Oil Well Cement “Explora-G”, a special cement that meets the demands of the oil industry.

Explora-G (Class G, High Sulphate Resistant) is produced at Tourah cement plant in accordance with the API specifications 10A-23a edition/ ISO 10426-1-2001.
