SCGC sponsors Enactus Egypt Competition

Cairo - July 08, 2014. Suez Cement Group of Companies (SCGC) is strongly committed to promote key and influential development projects inside the local communities.

In this spirit, SCGC and Enactus Egypt announced the results of the local competition for universities for the academic year 2013-2014, which was organized on 7 July in Intercontinental Hotel - City Stars with the presence of senior officials of the two organizations and representatives of the press and media outlets.

"Within the framework of our efforts to create a new generation of skilled and well-trained youth, who are able to lead Egypt and put it in a distinguished position on the new map of international economy, the Group took the lead in supporting this project which will contribute to the creation of a new generation equipped with all tools required for the labor market," said Suez Cement’s CEO, Mr. Bruno Carre’ congratulating the French University, the winner of this year's competition and all members of the winning team.

A number of 32 government and private universities participated in this year's competition, where each team presented the results of the projects it implemented throughout the academic year 2013-2014, which has been evaluated by the jury – in partnership with a prestigious group of business leaders in Egypt – to select the winner to represent Egypt in the Enactus World Cup Championship which will be organized in October 2014 in Beijing. The competition will group students from 39 countries.
